Surpassing the largest number of nationwide submissions ever received, Global-5 Communications’ statewide marketing campaign for the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) 511 Traveler Information System received the Best of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Award for Best New Innovative Practice in Outreach. Winners were announced in September at the international ITS World Congress in Detroit.

More than 10,000 of the world's leading public officials, transportation innovators, business leaders, investors, researcher professionals and entrepreneurs attended the event at this year’s World Congress. The Best of ITS Awards honors the most innovative, effective and influential achievements in the ITS industry.

Many of those attendees are expected at the next big ITS event, FDOT’s 2014 Florida Automated Vehicles Summit, in Orlando, Fla. on Dec. 15 and 16. Global-5 will see you there!
