Global-5 has been developing resources for the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) to communicate how the federal agency is conducting research to develop standards and a regulatory framework for encouraging the safe development, testing and deployment of new connected vehicle (CV) and automated vehicle (AV) technologies.

We worked with the USDOT to develop a design concept and produce an exhibit for the 2017 PWX Conference and Expo in Orlando attended by more than 6,000 public works professionals from public and private business sectors.

The exhibit included a table-top display, pop-up banner, table runner and literature rack for conducting stakeholder outreach and providing information about the value and benefits of CVs and AVs. We provided writing & editing, graphic design and production management services to create each component.

We also created an iPad survey for event attendees to determine their level of understanding of CVs & AVs and vehicle-to-infrastructure & vehicle-to-vehicle applications. This project required research, writing survey questions, developing a design concept for an iPad survey app and creating a post-event report that included survey results.

Our in-house video unit captured footage during the expo and produced a short video to provide a recap demonstrating interactions with attendees.
