Global-5 has wrapped the 2025 awards season with a winning streak of four national honors in recognition of strategic, creative, and polished communications efforts on behalf of our clients.
The year started off strong with a Bronze Stevie Award in the Marketing Campaign of the Year, Non-Profit category in the 23rd Annual American Business Awards. The award recognized the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola’s Smart Start Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Enrollment Campaign. Global-5 developed the campaign to increase enrollment in Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) programs among families in Osceola County, Florida, particularly in underserved areas.

The campaign raised awareness of the benefits of early childhood education; highlighted the availability of free VPK programs; and increased VPK enrollment by strategically blending targeted outreach, compelling creative assets, and precise media placement. Through its targeted and data-driven strategy, the Smart Start campaign ensured that 14 percent more children in Osceola County had access to essential early learning opportunities in 2025.

Invaluable Video
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a million — and an award-winning video can be priceless. Global-5 recently won two Bronze Telly Awards for videos produced on behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
The first video, titled “Joshua’s Story,” illustrates how the tragedy of a student’s death resulted in infrastructure improvements that will help make the path to school safer for all students. In it, Joshua’s mother shares how her son died while crossing a busy state highway. FDOT project managers and engineers explain how Joshua’s death inspired a multidisciplinary effort to build better intersections that improve pedestrian safety.
The second video, “I-4 Beyond the Ultimate – Sand Lake Road Beam Setting,” documents the process of installing three 75-ton beams over a busy roadway as part of the construction of a new bridge. Global-5 shot wide-angle, time-lapse video from the work zone during the 6-hour, overnight operation. Ground-level video shows details of the work. The final product illustrates an intricate process that few get to witness.
Voice of Expertise
Finally, the year ended on an especially high note with news that Global-5 Senior Consultant and Content Developer Jeff Brown was the recipient of a 2025 MarCom Platinum Award for Individual Achievement. The award recognized Jeff’s exceptional work in service to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS JPO), a Global-5 client for the past two years.
Jeff’s writing style has become the voice of ITS JPO through his blog posts, bylined articles, talking points, media materials, and more. Much of his work results in important public exposure to the mission and technologically complex initiatives of this office. For example, one of his media outreach initiatives — for a new V2X technology that saves lives in snowy Wyoming by increasing access to road-closure data along Interstate 80 — reached an audience of more than 370,000.
