USING VIDEO TO SHOWCASE INNOVATION IN TRANSPORTATION

Federal transportation agencies make extensive use of video to reach various audiences with messages designed to keep roadways safe, accessible, and free of congestion. Global-5 was asked to produce a series of videos that presented a variety of new transportation programs and advanced technologies through fresh, engaging storytelling.

Solutions

Global-5, in consultation with Noblis, wrote, recorded, edited, and provided the voiceovers for a collection of informative shorts. These award-winning videos targeted multiple audiences ranging from the public to trucking industry insiders. They illustrate new opportunities to improve mobility for all travelers, and to reduce the risk of crashes and help save lives on our nation’s roadways.

In service to all travelers of all modalities, Global-5 created a video illustrating how the USDOT’s ITS4US program will enhance access and mobility for persons with disabilities, older adults, low-income individuals, people in rural areas, veterans, and persons with limited English proficiency.

2022 Communicator Silver Award of Distinction

Global-5 produced a suite of videos on behalf of the USDOT and the FMCSA intended to convince the trucking industry to adopt the advanced driver assistance systems already seen in passenger vehicles.

Each video was carefully produced to contain cohesive bookend messages. Those messages surround a description of an available system that reduces the risk of crashes thereby helping save lives on our nation’s roadways.

Making the Business Case for Integrated Corridor Management

The USDOT and the FHWA asked Global-5 to create a video that demonstrated the benefits of the integrated corridor management (ICM) concept to transportation engineers and officials nationwide. The agencies sought to develop enthusiasm and adoption by highlighting successful ICM implementations in California and Arizona.
